My whole class and I are doing a project on global issues. I picked racism because I thought it was one of the best ones. You would normly think it doesn’t effect anything but it does. That is why this issue inspires me the most because you may think it wont do anything to the world over time. If it doesnt stop soon we will have so many different groups and maybe even war.
Racism effects alot of things. I am focus on one issue under the topic of racism. That topic is “Law”. People would normaly think it isnt against the law but when some gets hurt or harrassed, it is. Racism should be a bigger law then it is. Some of my research shows that there some people that dont get to own a house because of people think that they dont want ot give there houses to Natives or Chinese people on the count of there skin colour.

What is the effect of the human rights? 

• Don’t get housing.
• Don’t get employment.
• Don’t get good public service.
• Don’t get jobs to make money.
• Two sets of human rights codes: the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Manitoba Human Rights Code. The Manitoba Human Rights Commission.
• Human rights code, employers, business owners, landlords and others are allowed to make necessary distinctions.
• Should be allowed to make public signs, symbols, advertisements and messages.
• Any person who is women, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, and members of visible minorities.

How do I file a report?

• Can’t file just any report.
• Must have a witness or evidence put to justify.
• Then the Judge will decide from then.
• If the racial comment has occurred as you apply for a job the person may most likely be only fired.
• If there is some kind of physical movement that person will most likely go to jail or get charged.
