What happened in these chapters was very exciting to read because they they seemed so intense. And heres what had happened in them: Dally came there to give them more money and information as to what was going on back at town. When he went there they got to go out for the first time. They went out to eat and Darry told them how everyone was doing. Johnny felt bad because Ponyboy didn’t kill the guy and he was innocent, so he wanted to go and turn himself in. As they were driving back to town  when they passed the church it was on fire, there were a couple of kids in it. Johnny and Ponyboy got then out before it came crashing and Johnny and got trapped, Darry went in, got him and got out with a bad burn on his arm. A timber fell o Johnny and his back was burnt. And the last part was Johnny waiting in the hospital with Jerry, the police, and the reporters.

These Chapters was mostly about heroism. This chapter was based on they’re heros because of when they went in to the house. That showed heroism because they weren’t that scared to into the flaming church to get the kids that had gotten stuck in it. I thought this chapter was based on they’re heromism because the fact is, is that they got into that house not knowing what they were doing but in a way did know what they were doing. They knew that what they were they for was to get the kids and get out as quick as possible but for them to go in there and not have any clue what they were in for because they were in a burning house alone when it could have crashed and they could have risked there lives for nothing. But it was exciting to see that they got into that house not knowing what they were doing, but it was the part when Ponyboy was asking where they were I thought Johnny had never made it. I think it is also heroism that they used in this chapter because Johnny had the guts to tell Ponyboy and Darry that he was going to turn himself in. But if I were in that position I would tell the cops right away that I killed that guy in self defense because he was drowning my friend.
